cleansed and made whole…

blk bg with gold flower leafs lines

we should understand sin th way th Lord God understands it…

lepers had to cry out ‘unclean’ as they walked among ppl–to warn everyone they were unclean — and contagious…

this is th truth of sin–a disease tha breaks u into running sores, dragging body parts along until they die & fall off piece by piece, a personal stink of pus & blood…this is th truth of sin–its all leprocy…

i been thinkin of this bc recently someone posted on fb about th man whos credited with saving 3 young women who were kidnapped and held captive fa a decade, in a house not more than 3 miles from where she  was kidnapped, and they all endured years of every abuse possible…one man heard a woman calling for help from inside th house and opened th door which freed her and her fellow captives…

but this isnt about the women…th post on fb –a news article –was about him…th man who opened th door…bc hes an accused, convicted wife beater who went to jail behind tht and who also didnt pay child support…

at first i didnt see th point why th media brought all that up and didnt se what it had to do wit him answering a woman’s call fa help…but th more i thought about it, and th more i read th comments on th fb thread…th more obvious it became that we dont have a clear understanding of sin and th sacrifice of that perfect blameless sinless Lamb of God which laid down His life fa us…

i mean…we get Him–th perfect one…we know He was born without sin and lived sinless and was never apart from th Father, not once…we know Him as He is revealed IN us and know as much of Him as He reveals…and every born again believa is being conformed to th image of Christ, revelation by revelation, moment by moment….or maybe we get th doctrine of Him…

what we dont get at all, is us…we dont get that we actually were what we did, against th idea that somehow while we sinned, we actaually were so much better than that and tho we did what we did, we WERENT what we did…th idea, i guess is htat we were just bystanders in our own lives and actions and while we are doctrinally ‘guilty’ we excaped personal guilt…

peter sinned…Jesus told peter He would suffer and die and peter stood up and said No Lord…and Jesus called him satan, not peter…and told him he didnt savor th thangs of God…according to Jesus Christ, we ARE what we did, as peter was what he did–opposed th love of th Most High God wit th substandard brotherly love of a sinner…tempting Jesus with a love that would spare His life and cost him his own, which he didnt even recognize…but Jesus saw peter bound in a love that didnt serve God, bound by a thought that exalted itself against th knowledge of God, and driven by th spirit of this world…

th disciples wanna call down fire from heaven and curse…Jesus said u dont know what spirit u are of…

its true…we dont know what spirit we are of…bc everyone who sins is a slave to sin and if u say u have no sin u are a liar and u call God a liar too…

when we talk of sin, its a doctrine; Christ died fa us…yay…its over…whew…close call… deadintrespassandsins… quick to see th sin in others and judge em different than how we think we should be judged…truth is…Christ died fa us…bc He had to…bc there was no sacrifice we could offer fa th stench that was risin up in God’s nostrils from us sinners, th stench that was our lives…yes…we were what we did…we sinned…we were sinners…Christ died once fa all…fa all…but while we are easily offended by crime, which is really how we think of sin–referenced and cross-referenced in law books and defined in legal babble according to victim, gender, social status and punishment…we have no real understanding of sin…and no real appreciation fa what Christ did by th cross…we have an idea like peter’s, which dont savor th thangs of God, but with th same audacity as peter, we keep offering it up as tho it is th same thang…trading agape (th love of God) fa phileo (brotherly love)…exchanging th truth (Jesus Christ) fa a lie (adam)

we were sinners– stank nasty rottin dead flesh walkin ar0und, perfumed, ornamented, clothed and mostly functional–we dont know what it took fa that sinless one, that clean, unblemished perfect lamb of God, to become sin fa us and die fa us…we were dead in trespass and sin, but Christ is LIFE…

we enjoyed sin, made room fa it, planned it, reveled in it and while we all did something, we just knew there was some stuff WE WOULD NEVER DO and that one single thought right there, th notion that there was stuff we would NEVER do, is th plank in our eye–completely obscuring th truth of our own sin and th sin that clings to us like grave clothes…we boasted about th stuff we would never do–and maybe still boast, only quieter now–bc we dont understand sin…not th way God says it is…

while we were yet sinners, we got our hair did, celebrated, went to restaurants, conversated, went to jail–oops did i say that—i didnt mean we went to jail…well some of us did…but not all of us…most of us look back on our sin as something that made us ugly, a personal flaw like a bad case of acne or bad hair, that thankyoujesus is all cleared up now and we are somehow beautiful and worthy of love and forgiveness and every good thing we desire…we dont know that sin, like th lawless one, has no limits…whenever th Lord Jesus Christ snatched u outta it…if u woulda stayed in it any longer, you woulda did all th stuff you would never do…its by His choice that u quit sinning…not urs…and its by His work that even makes it possible fa u to not continue in sin…we brought nothin but th stank nasty rottin to that table…

c: amazing how we all used to be so ignorant and we came up with our own “standard”.. and its all about what we would never do, so we made sure they were on the other side of the border that we drew up in our mind and everyone else is just “bad, a whore, a sicko, a pervert, a pathological liar, a druggie”.. and so on.. but God lifted up Christ as the standard.. and all have been concluded in sin, all concluded as a FAIL.. if our righteousness exceeds greater than a Pharisee… but how? They sure were all kinds of fleshly manners of righteousness.. but only Christ IS righteousness. Men got standards.. God only has one.. in Christ.

And amen@ we woulda done all the stuff we would never do…  and most of us already found ourselves in that pit. We must seem so silly.. condemning one another, and not realizing we were in the same condemnation.

i woulda missed th greater story here in this thread, th one Christ had to revealed to me, but Christ is faithful…and Christ is th reason that there is a greater story here…

here were 2 men…both did th same kinda stuff–what th world calls crimes against women, but what th Lord calls sin…big different there, in terms…bc while crimes against women sounds very clear, its actually all mucked up and clouds one’s vision..and while sin seems rather general, its actually very specific and clear…

th difference in terms is also th different in perception…its why we can post stuff and conversate about what someone else did–we examine sin forensically, detached; we are mere observers, casually commenting without th slightest understanding that Christ died once fa all, and fa us in particular…apart from Him, we are lepers whose stench rises up to God’s nostrils and fills th air of our personal space makin everyone else wanna cry out, ‘unclean, unclean’ as we pass by…

here were 2 men…one held th women captive, th other opened th door which set them free…both guilty of th same sin…and so it is with all of us…we are all guilty of th same sin…however it manifests to th world is irrelevant, however th world defines it, God calls it sin; th rules and the recompense are God’s alone– regardless of jail or other worldly time-outs imposed by adamic justice–

God alone knows what sin is and judges it rightly and God is not a respecter of persons…He dont be all up in th categories of man like man is; His judgement stands against ALL th race of adam, regardless of home trainin, social status, worldly contributions and th rest of th brotherly love that adam boasts in…God dont care how u dress it up, perfume it or hide it…God smells u in ur sin and u r a stench to Him who is Holy…

sin comes outta th same heart that boasts in brotherly love…its th heart of adam, th man of sin, who judges by worldly  categories and side steps a whole lotta truth to respect persons, prefers th love of the world (brotherly love) and th praises of man (adam) to agape (love of God) and th praise of God (Jesus Christ)…th heart of sin moves by th spirit of this world…seeks its own, fulfills th lusts of th sin nature and is guilty…

truth comes outta th new heart, th heart of living flesh that God gives  –Christ Jesus– removing th heart of stone, to those born of th Spirit…there is no sin in this new heart; its not born of flesh, not born of adam, but is born of ht Spirit of God and God’s Spirit remains, indwells…it lives in th body of former lepers, and so th world tryna smudge its newness with old stuff, but it cant be made dirty…its clean in a way only th forgiveness of God understands…th world has never seen that kinda clean and cant comprehend it…

2 different hearts seen as 2 different men…th first, moved by th spirit of this world, sinned and is guilty…th second, moved by th Spirit of God, set the captives free…

adam is bound by satan, is moved by satan–th spirit of this world, and is guilty of sin; but th redeemed sinner, th one Christ came fa, is moved by th Spirit of God and is free…2 different hearts, one bound in sin and judged guilty, th other forgiven of sin and made free…one stained, th other clean; one leper dripping blood and pus and losing body parts, th other cleansed and made whole…

th different in this story is Christ…Christ is th forgiveness and th love of God; in Christ is healing, a new creation and sin no longer reigns…apart from Christ no man can stop sinning, and death reigns until Christ makes them free or they are hardened in sin and return to dust…

c: Many look at the fruit of the bad tree which is sin.. but sin is only what is manifested from the  root.. and the root is iniquity. So people spend their lives trimming the fruit, and polishing it, or hiding it.. trying to maintain that tree so it dont look bad, but looks outwardly good.. but the root never changes, the stump and power of sin and death still reigns in that tree.

g: addin this from our convo earlier…about how leprocy really illustrates sin…against how ppl actually understand sin…leprocy is th outward manifestatation of an inward disease…what ppl call sin, is really just th outward manifestation; but what God calls sin, is in th heart … ppl will argue if th racist leper is worse than th rapist leper or th wife beater leper or th thief leper…but .does it matter if one leper is a racist or a thief? they all are lepers wit th same disease and they all gonna die lepers…unless Christ comes and makes em whole…

In Christ, a new creation is required.. He creates us anew by cutting off the dead tree out of us completely, and it has no power over us.. the power is in the vine, the root.. and He grafts us in a whole new tree completely.. in Himself.. and He is the power and life of the new creation, and we bear HIS fruit…

so the world got their eyes on the fruit of the tree.. but denying their very being as a whole. The state of man.. of self.. is rot, is death, is evil…is sin.. so they just compare fruit, and count how many fruit the other has.. and say aha.. he has THAT fruit, tsk tsk… but all r run by the very same tree, and the very same stuff lives inside of em all.

Which is why a new creation is the thing that is required.

i dont know anything about th lives of these 2 men in th article…i dont know if they belong to Christ…if they do, they will know Him…all who th Father gives to Christ will come to Christ and all who come to Christ will not be cast out…its not fa me to say so…my place in this event is th same place as always, at th foot of Christ, hearing Him and knowin Him alone…grateful tht He tears outta me what i would never do, and replaces it with Himself–th one who actually never did(love that!)

Christ alone is sinless…and we are ridiculous when we, who tasted of sin, think we can put limits around our own flesh, when we claim to see in others that they have no such limits…and we boast in our self thinkin we have something more thna they have…what men judge as sin is just a manifestation, a symptom…sin is th nature of th heart…and everything–good and evil as man judges or thinks he judges this–proceeds from this heart of sin and so it is all sin…our righteousness is as filthy rags to God…

apart from Christ, we can do nothing…sin entered into adam and death entered in thru sin…outside of Christ, sin continues and no man is able to stop it…

c: Only in Christ can we say death has no sting.. and the grave is powerless over us..

g: let th redeemed say so…

no man who puts his hand to th plow and looks back is fit fa th kingdom of God…that lookin back (with longing) is as lot’s wife…th Lord revealed to me how we can also look back longingly desireing to change something of th old man, do somethin different, as tho to save something outta th destruction that comes to  th old man…lots wife looked back and dried up …even looking back on sin wit th regret of th old man that wanna do something different or change what was, is still lookin back…th old dies and is gone…nothign there worth saving out or retrieving or to worry over or look on ever again…God separates us from our sin, as  far as the east (Christ) is from the west (darkness)…God never looks at our sin again…so we are not to look at it either…whether its in regret or whatever…we are not to look back but to keep our eyes stayed on Christ and keep our mind stayed on Him…

a right understanding of sin is that its th old man…th heart of stone that God removes and replaces by ginving us a heart of living flesh (Christ)…and we are to understand that God dont see sin as we do…in categories and by degrees…to God all sin is th same…we are all dead in sin and trespasses and are not better than any other one with a stoney heart…sin is treachrous, is deliberate and is against God…and we must know that; but thats all it is…th different is Christ…

th house is cleaned, put in right order…but does NOT remain empty…God takes up His residence in Christ in us…th Spirit of God indwelling…and we dont return to what we were…and our end is twice blessed as job’s was, when he began in fear but ended by knowing his Redeemer lives…
