forgiveness, mercy & repentance

veronique-charron-magical-forest-i

where does God EVER tell anyone to aks fa forgiveness?

in the OT, forgivenss came by animal sacrifice–a work–not a request…not one time was forgiveness given apart from sacrifice… in th OT sacrifice is clearly defined and laid out by God alone, as are th manifestations of th sinful heart of man…and nobody could seek forgiveness apart from sacrifice back then…

forgiveness is part of God’s mercy, and while it may be given to an offender by God alone, the offender has no claim to demand it from God–or anyone– but can only look toward justice being meted out fa his offense… mercy is given to those who dont deserve it and has many definistions and criteria in the world, but God’s mercy is different than any other standard of mercy; all other standards of mercy are in fact vengeance and recompense and man’s meager attempt at justice…but God alone is merciful…

repentance is also a part of God’s mercy…repentance turns us around, we no longer walk after the sin nature but walk in th way of the Lord…

harlot assemblies teach that repentance is a big, sincere ‘imsorryfaoffendinguandwontdoitagain” …but thats a lie…first, bc th only sincerity found in sin is that it is sin, nothing else will ever come by the heart of sin except sin…so this is false doctrine of repentance is perpetrated so that sinful man can pretend to do what only God can do…

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Genesis 6:6

God repented; He turned away from th man of th earth that He created … and it is what repentance is…to turn away from the old man, from th heart of sin … man cant work out his own repentance bc we cant turn away from our own nature, from ourself…

but God brings us to repentance…He turn us away from the old man (adam, th heart of sin), by first giving us Christ, His only begotten Son,  birthing IN us a new nature, a sinless, new creation that is born of the Spirit of God, not of flesh, not by man, not by a husband’s will, but by God alone…this new creation is proof of resurrection– life after death–bc th old man is born dead in sin and trespasses, but th new creation is raised a living Spirit, not flesh…Christ in us, this is our hope of glory…God removes th heart of stone (adam, born of flesh) and gives a new heart (Christ, born of God)…and He turns us to keep our eyes on Christ, not on th old man…

whoever sins is th slave of sin, he cant change his own heart from sinful to sinless, and th sin nature continues in its same way so he cant actually promise not to do it again…its like telling an addict to just stop being an addict…anyone who has seen the torment of addiction, knows they cant just stop…and will do whatever is necessary to feed their addiciton to quiet the torment and ease th pain and silence th tormenter that has em enslaved…and so this is really th true nature of sin…its fleshly  indulgence, feeds itself, is self-motivated and anytning it promises that is different from its true nature is a lie…

by God’s mercy, the new creation is born of the Spirit of God and not of flesh; its not a second opportunity to spit in th face of Christ, which is really what everyone dont get about repentance…it actually IS repentance and proof that th former sinner has not only been forgiven, but is rasised from the dead… God actually turns the sinner (God turns the hearts of the kings in His Hands) away from adam to Christ — and th Holy Spirit indwells the new creation that is born of His Spirit…in this way, God brings repentance,  turning us away from sin (adam, th old man), and this repentance makes it possible to actually not continue in sin, bc th new nature is isnt born of flesh or shaped in iniquity and is indwelt by the Spirit of God (Christ in us) to lead us into all truth (Christ)…and we keep our eyes on Him and our minds stayed on Him…

so while forgiveness came by animal sacrifice back then, to those outside the family of God, it actually comes by sacrifice now–Christ, the lamb of God that God sent to atone fa th sin of th world…and He indwells us by the Spirit of God…as we lay down our life to Christ (not to the world, sin and flesh), seeking no recompense fa offense, we (th new creation) are a living sacrifice to the true Living Sacrifice of God, our example (Christ Jesus)…we decrease, He increases…adam decreases, bc th new creation seeks to please God and not the deisres of th flesh (adam) and Christ increases…

while th Lord is workin in us what is genuine, th ppl of th world demand that we forgive outta th crookedness & evil of their own heart–their own standard of forgiveness; they wanna take what is only by Christ, by force as it were; to wrest forgiveness from us and demand it bc, as they love to quote scripture which they dont even understand–  forgive me or God wont forgive u…and they demand it bc they are not repentant…

does anyone know that mercy cant be demanded?  i mean…mercy goes to offenders who have nothing comin to them but justice…to demand mercy, to demand forgiveness, comes outta the same sinful heart that ur own sin proceeds from…so while u sin wit this heart, u also be demanding mercy and forgiveness…and notice that while u even may receive forgiveness for ur offenses, it will not change ur heart…so u will be, as the children of israel of th OT, required to atone fa each transgression and yet continue walkin after the sinful nature and not according to th way of th Lord…and just as th animal sacrifice of th OT was accepted by God and gained His forgiveness, it was imperfect, bc it didnt change th course of sin in the sinner, and so forgiveness and sacrifice was offered continutally…bc forgiveness alone did not change th sinful heart of man…

but Christ died once fa all…God came into the world inthe form of a man and lay down His life, no man took it from Him, and fulfilled th law and th prophets…and OT law is done away with…and Christ, th passover lamb, th living sacrifice of the living God, died once fa all…and so in Christ is the forgiveness of God in th earth…Jesus Christ has power on earth to forgive sin…

the relationship btwn the Spirit-born new creation, and this present darkness looks a lot like the OT…offenses come, but we take no offense bc we lay down as a living sacrifice to the Lamb of God (Christ in us) which pours out the forgiveness of God to those who offend us…and th forgiveness is real…bc God dont do pretend…

but mercy is far more than forgiveness alone…and forgiveness alone does not change the heart of man…something esle is needed….

th harlot preaches a forgiveness that supposebly comes from ppl to ppl, its a doctrine that definitely tickles th ears…i mean…we hear things like…well we can forgive but not forget; or this one…we forgive not fa their benefit but fa ours, or if we hold grudges and dont forgive, we might get sick or some other calamity will befall us, which is all fear based and not Christ based…and which begs th question, what does God then gain by forgivning us? th answer is nothing…forgiveness allows us to be recknoned as righteous, but if its by works, it wont last bc th heart isnt changed…but if its by th new birth, it is once fa all bc th new creation doesnt continue in sin…and it mortifies the desires of the flesh…

we are forgiven then, not bc of who we are, but bc of who He is…He forgives bc its who He is…

we forgive as th life of Christ pours outta us toward those who offend us, so that we take no offense but render good fa evil…its not us forgiving them (not an adam to adam transaction), its this new creation, a living sacrifice to Christ, not demanding recompense for offense bc recompense was not demanded from us…

Jesus Christ has power on earth to forgive sin…and we see this by His ppl, walkin in the new life which is Christ in us and so, those who offend us receive good (Christ) not evil (adam), its not a forgivness from adam, who demands a forgetting forgiveness from those he offends, wresting it from us as it were, by using scripture and taunts of the adamic standard of christianity is (which has no truth in it, btw)

but as we forgive by the Christ in us pouring out to those who dont deserve mercy (which makes us aliving sacrifice to Him who was blameless and laid His life down fa us), dont be surprised at all that it dont bring about repentance…it wont change them…it will only change us as we continue to walk more boldly in the presence of the Most High God, in th newness of th life that fulfills th law of the Spirit of Life…

its one thang fa us to forgive, even by Christ in us which is th only way to forgive fa real…but its another fa them to be turned in repentance….and tht comes only by th new birth…repentance is new life…a second chance as it were, not a rehabbed, repaired, patched up old man who is constantly sinning and must offer sacrifices fa each offense (from Christ, the great high priest)…repentance, turning away from adam (old man) and to Christ (in us ruling the new creation by th Spirit of God) comes when we are born of the Spirit…it is when the Father brings us to Christ, not merely fa forgiveness for offending one of His, but as a new creation

not sayin th forgivenss in us thru Christ isnt real…just thinkin how Jesus told the disciples whatever sins u forgive will be forgiven and whatever sins u dont forgive will not be forgiven…what we forgive removes the debt….so that no man owes us anything and we dont demand compensation fa the offense…but there is yet a wrath to be delivered…and tho we dont count ourself as debtors to any man …yet that dont remove their debt to th Lord bc it is Him they hate without cause and who they pierced and crucified…

anyway…its an interesting thang…u knw?  just as the law of th OT was sufficient to bring atonement fa sin and was accepted by God, u know? like animal sacrifice bein made fa the animal that adam became in sin…i know its a crude way to say it but its only way i can explain it…and i always miss th real wit my explanations…but fa ‘man’ to be reconciled, Christ had to come…bc even in the OT where forgivenss was gave fa sin bc of sacrifices and  th works of the ppl, it still only allowed th high priest to enter into th holy of holies and everyone was still outside of the presence of God, u know?  so blood sacrfice of animals was not perfect bc tho there was forgivenss, forgiveness didnt bring reconciliation…Christ alone brought reconciliation…

and so its good to know this about forgivenss…too…that we can forgive and are suppose to as God say, bc we have Christ in us and so of coures we are suppose to walk after th Spirit…He dont say suppose to in terms of covenant law but as His promise to us, same when He say remain in me…we do remain in Him bc He will not cast anyone out who comes to Him and all that th Father gives Him will come to Him…

but there remains reconciliation, which is only possible thru Christ and it IS Christ….bc whoever see Him has seen the FAther…so we forgive but its not ours and its def of God in Christ, just as the forbivenesss was of God in Christ in the OT and it was def real…but it was incomplete…

animal sacrifice was insufficient to bring reconciliation with our Father and whoever does not have th Son also dont have the Father…God dont reconcile us wit the world, but reconcile th world to Him by th Son…so He isnt gonna reconcile us to those outside of Christ, but the new creations are reconciled to the Father bc they are new creations and so we are reconciled or gather in Him together…and its th only way…those outside of Christ find forgiveness of God in Christ same as the OT forgiveness, by th lamb of God, Christ in us, Jesus Christ, which has power on earth to forgive sin…

Christ IS the forgivenss of God poured out, which not only forgives sin but also reconciles us to the Father b  th e new birth…but ONLY in Him…outside of Christ, there isnt any reconciliation and the forgivenss ppl receive (the 70 times 7, as it were; the authority to forgive that Jesus gave to the disciples, etc) is as th animal sacrifice of the OT; even tho it pours outta Christ in us, and is real and is perfect as Christ is perfect, it dont reconcile th forgiven one to the Father…only who is in Christ is reconciled to the Father…

Christ, our great high priest has entered in, once fa all, has rent the veil and has brought His to the Father…and apart from the new birth, those who are truly forgiven, bc of Christ in us, will not enter into the kingdom of God unless and until they are born again…only a new creation (Christ in us) enters into the Kingdom of God…

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father…Christ in us is th indwelling Spirit of God, apart from Him we can do nothing…and apart from Him no man shall see th Lord…

As the new creation, we are the forgiven, and we forgive because the Forgiver lives in us.

True about Adam.. u know, He made our glory to be like the beasts of the earth, so none can boast.. science will tell u we r in the animal kingdom, and here we bring the dead animal to Him..

..but Christ is the perfect (complete and whole) gift from above, and His forgiveness is so complete that it reconciles us to the Father, and transforms us so we r not left to our sins.

..Yet just as they didn’t see that in Israel then, they still don’t today.. they think they r still left in their sins, and must bring a ‘sacrifice’ to the altar for forgiveness over and over again with their high priest standing over them.. but Christ, He perfected us and sanctified us once and for all thru His forgiveness, to where the Father looks at us and sees Christ in us, and the old man has passed away.

Forgiveness is not possible for the old man.. this is truth.. the old man cannot forgive, he holds grudges, he cannot forget, altho he may try to.. Christ has the power on earth to forgive sins.. forgiveness is a heavenly thing.. not an earthly thing. Forgiveness only came from above, not below. He in us, pouring out His forgiveness thru us to them.. it can only be from Him, not us..He works it in us.. and its not a command or a curse, but proof of who lives in us. The world can only witness the forgiveness of God, but the new creation has received it.

u know thats so right…th old man cant forgive…yet there are countless slogans and talk shows tellin ppl to forgive & move on, as tho forgiveness is possible to those who are yet in sin, i mean…how can u give something u actually dont have?…so outside of Christ ppl are still raging in sin and offense…so th offense is still alive in ppl and tho they thinjk they ‘moved on’ they are still offended…and thats th saddest part fa me…to see ppl struggle in pain and bondage and sorrow from offense, not knowing that th forgiveness of God which is poured out thru Christ, brings healing too…th offense isnt just smoothed over, but actually removed and brokeness is healed…

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said to the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; your sins be forgiven you. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemes. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think you evil in your hearts? For whether is easier, to say, Your sins be forgiven you; or to say, Arise, and walk? But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house. And he arose, and departed to his house. Matthew 9:2-7
