Overflowing Wine

this jew at the well…

years ago th Lord send me to a church and i was there fa 12 years…

while i was there, we had an event, i forget what it was now, but it was a usual kinda church thang, fish fry or concert or revival, whatever…anyway…i was in th hallway outside th sanctuary, and this man came in wit his grandmother..and he looked around and came up on me and grabbed me tight, and everyone–i mean to say EVERYONE –be watchin & i could almost hear em hater bc his way wit me was familiar and it wasnt him they be cluckin at, but i never knew him…and his grandmother starin daggers at me…

anyway…so i started to back up and i was kinda laughin too bc he caught me by surprise and my friend barbara yelled out  “he grab ya like he know ya g” and i was racin in my mind tryna figure out how to fix this…and as i backed away from him th Lord spoke to me about th woman at th well…so i stopped backin up and stood still…

Then came he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.  Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.  There came a woman of Samaria to draw water:

Jesus said to her, Give me to drink.  (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

Then said the woman of Samaria to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.   Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that say to you, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water.

The woman said to him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then have you that living water?  Are you greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Jesus answered and said to her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again:   But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.   John 4:5-14

th woman at th well…maybe she come up on Jesus lookin fa another man…

th Lord show me many thangs happen at th well…rebekkah was at th well when isaac’s servant showed up; and mose wife was at th well when mose showed up…

and here now was Jesus, th living water, th water from heaven, seated on joseph’s earthly well…the real seated on the shadow of thangs to come…

and so this is what th Lord revealed to me and i looked at that man and told him what th Lord said about th woman at th well, i said all what th Lord revealed to me in that moment about th woman at th well…and i cant even explain how his face changed and looked just then and how it didnt matter what th ppl thought of me or him and how i was amazed as i always am, when Christ rise up and we get to watch Him minister…i was backin up, but Christ was reachin out fa him and wouldnt let him go…

i didnt know his name and i never saw him after that…it was just a moment…

u know…maybe th woman at the well wasnt suppose to speak to Him at all; maybe women werent suppose to be so freindly wit men they dont know,  but she did…and maybe she wasnt suppose to even be at th well…and maybe she was there waitin fa yet another husband to show up–she had 5 already and none of em hers…

however it happend, she was there; fa whatever reason she came to th well…but she met Jesus instead — th husband of one wife — and whatever her motives, whatever it was that brought her there…it was fa th glory of God…

then Jesus told her all about herself…He didnt announce it in front of th ppl or make a sermon outta it…He didnt tell a disciple to tell her…no…Jesus told her Hisself…

and she told everyone to come see Him…bc He knew her…bc He told her everything she ever did…and th power of meeting Him made her tell ppl to come and see Him…

The woman said to him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw.  Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband, and come here.   The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, You have well said, I have no husband:   For you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband: in that said you truly.

The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.  Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and you say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The woman said to him, I know that Messiah comes, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Jesus said to her, I that speak to you am he.

And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seek you? or, Why talk you with her?

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and said to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?  John 4:15-29

He dont back up or back down…and every step and every word is of God…He wasnt a man like th prophets who knew God and spoke as He told them to speak, He is the God who came lookin like a man, who breathed into the prophets and who came Hisself to find His own sheep…

is not this th Christ?

And God opened her [Hagar’s] eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt. Genesis 21:19-21
