God dont like ugly

i been thinkin a lot about discipleship…and how its misused and abused in churches and how different it is in Christ and by Him…disciple, discipleship, discipline…all are from the same word…too many churches (world churches, since they is no abuse in the true body of Christ) operate in abuse, too many marriages serve abusive agendas and too many children suffer abuse and are actually raised up to accept it…

spare the rod and spoil the child comes to mind when i think of discipline…

most ppl agree tha the ‘rod’ is some form of physical punishment, by a switch, hand, belt, whateva…but the Lord told me, the rod is a measure, and He alone is that measure…He is the rod, not any man’s form of discipline, what men bring to the table is their own traditions, but we are to not follow the traditions of man…His rod & His staff, they comfort me…

the rod of the OT was not used to beat the sheep but to beat the wolves away…and it was used by the Shepherd, to save the sheep and keep the wolf away…not by any person claiming some authority over another person…

the actual definition of ‘spoil’ isnt mean to give a buncha stuff to, as we say a child who has many toys or gets his own way is spoiled, meanin they got everythin they want…

to spoil means to strip of everything, to make waste and barren…soooooooooooo…to spoil the child, to strip the child of everything, is done by sparing the rod, sparing Christ, for in not preachin Christ to our children, we lay em out stripped of everythin…

theres so many discussions about discipline, when to hit, how often, what to use when we hit, the whole thought behind discipline is some form of physical agression against children…and sometimes against spouses, since adults who punish find no limits to who they punish, and they are sometime use to dealin in relationships this way…

Jesus never raised his hand against any of the disciples, not when they sinned, not when they followed Him, not when they lacked faith, not when they opposed Him, not when they was hungry, not when they didnt understand…but yet and still they were always His disciples…and He stood always before them as the true measure, the rod of israel, the Master and True Shepher…

Jesus Christ is the true measure and the mark of the prize…He disciples and we can actually become like Him and thats the point of discipline…not to punish, not to embarrass, not to harass, but to make us like Him…mos ppl think discipline is suppose to be embarrassing, aggressive physical harm…they believe tha discipline is punishment, but who did Jesus punish?  yet He had disciples?

many parents disicipline their kids outta anger, becuase they embarrassed, overtired or stressed or becaseu they dont want their kids to end up like them, its easy sometime to see our kids makin our mistakes and we wanna avoid tha; children are born of a rebellious spirit; ppl reproduce after their kind, since only Christ creates the new creation by the birth from above…

but heres the thing, you arent the standard of what ur kids outta be, and ur discipline is as tho ur arms are flailing in the wind…if u not livin out the Christ in you…if the measure, if the rod of discipline is you in all ur flesh — to be like u or not like u — then u already lost the war…

paul never made the gospel out to be about what Christ did fa him…he never once said, if He did it for me He gonna do it fa u…paul never made hisself to be the measure, but always proclaimed Christ and Him crucified…its easy to judge usin righteous judgement cuz the righteousness is Christ and not us, not paul, not any of the disciples…

parents, seek the Lord WITH ur children…not FOR em, not INSTEAD OF em…let em see the measure of Christ in you…let em see it and know tha ur standard isnt what u accomplish, not even ur ministry or ‘how the Lord is usin u’ but tha ur measure is Christ Himself — the same bread from heaven tha feeds all the children of God…

unfortunately, punishment very often is the only discipline most ppl recognize…and they carry tha into jobs, relationships, marriages, parenting, teaching, ministry, pastoring, and on and on…

actually, its manipulation to badger, hit and threaten…it use to grieve me to hear the church folk talk about Jesus, like He gonna punish anyone who oppose their ministry or ideas, like the vindication the Lord promises, is some payback fa the way ppl treat us…as though Christ is some pit bull to sic on our enemies…

manipulation exerts pressure (from the word manos, meanin hand) to get a certain response…ppl manipulate when they use diplomacy, when they couch words to gain an audience and get a desired response, when they use anger like a barbed fence to mark out a territory tha their relationships dare not cross…when they refuse to simply look u in the face and tell the truth and let the Lord have His Way…manipulation and flattery (from the word for hand, meaning to pet or literally flatten with the hand) are the same thing…its a lyin tongue…a decietful heart…manipulation and flattery are tools of the enemy of God, they are witchcraft and not of Truth…

there was no deceit in His mouth…

Christ spoke the truth…to the pharisees, to peter, to the adulteress, to the woman who wanted the bread of the children…

if u raisin ur children by the standards of this world…to be nice, polite, and be moral like any good pharisee, then u teachin em to bow down to the spirit of this world, to satan, the enemy of God…dont be surprised when they ‘rebel’ against what u thought u were doin…they not rebellin, they in the way u trained em up and they livin like the world — if u raise em up by caesar’s standards, u gonna get a caesar, so dont be surprised…

truly, the wrath of God abides on the ungodly and His wrath will be poured out…but His wrath is pure and righteous…it isnt tainted by human experience…He isnt pourin His wrath out because somebody sometime was mean to me or disgraced me or hated me or call me outta my name or do me wrong…His wrath is poured out against all who are not in Christ…

trainin up a child in the way he should go, is discipline…if you are the measure u bring to ur kids, to do what u do or to dont do what u do, u are raisin em up to bow down to the spirit of this world and not to Christ; because u are the measure they will measure they life against u and not against Christ…but if the measure u hold up to ur kids is Christ, not for them only but as your measure also, the gospel will be preached to em, u wont be judgin em accordin to the world’s standards, but u will use righteous judgement (the righteousness of Christ) and not some moral thang tha the world presents as good or good enough, instead of Christ..

i heard some preachas talkin about “Holy Ghost spankins”, and how the Holy Spirit gonna whoop u…its all a hot mess bein preached…Jesus neva whooped nobody, but He neva backed down too…He was unshakeable, immutable, isnt tha wha He say we gonna be?

i been around some church folk talk all day about how the Lord beat em down for this or tha…and they actually believe He do tha to make em better…they dont see the real Jesus because they got Him confused with some human form of discipline…Jesus isnt waitin around the corner fa u to screw up so He can beat the devil outta u…Jesus looked peter straight in the face and said Satan, get you hence…He didnt raise a hand to peter or try to embarrass him…He spoke to the spirit comin outta peter’s mouth…His interest was peter’s salvation, enduring faith, his discipleship…and yes, even his friendship…

God dont like ugly? really? and what scripture is tha?  oh yah…adam’s idea of morality and niceness and good behavior to replace Christ…its not righteous judgement…

when peter said to Jesus, oh no Lord, u wont die…well, in the world, tha sound like a true friend, like someone gonna lay down his life fa u or fight fa u…but Jesus said satan always oppose the things of God…True Righteousness doesnt judge by worldly standards, the only standard of True righteousness is Jesus Christ…

here is the Lamb of God seein satan rise up in peter and claimin tha God’s Way wouldnt be, tha mere mortal, sinful, unsaved adam would fight against it and stop it…imagine tha peter’s words opposed God and offered to God in Christ a different way…this is the way of the world in all its effort to shroud Christ…to replace Christ and His righteousness with morality, religion, adam’s ideas of good and good enough…and adam’s laws against what adam claims is evil…

Jesus Christ IS who we supposed to be…we gonna be like Him…so the discipline and discipling, which is the same thang, shapes us like Him and lets us deny our self, pick up our cross and follow Him…He is worthy of following cuz He IS…and so we can rest assured we will be also…
